Moldavite is a tektite of natural glass, which formed (in brief sense) when an asteroid hit the earth, melted it and then the unique melded combination of the two dropped back down essentially as molten globs of glass that cooled into these surreal shapes. Moldavites are gemmy green tektites that come only from the Czech Republic. The source of moldavites is drying up hence it's a good future investment. The only tektite acknowledged as a gemstone.
